In
1936, I.E Miller was founded in Eunice, Louisiana as a family
owned and operated trucking company providing rig relocation
services to drilling contractors located in South Louisiana.
After forty-six years of successful operation, I.E. Miller
was acquired in 1982 by the Soileau family. New management
and
equipment was added allowing I.E. Miller to move larger
rigs and to expand geographically.
In 1988, I.E. Miller expanded
into the vacuum truck business by providing liquid mud
and saltwater hauling services.
In 1993, the company began
leasing
additional trucks through owner-operator leasing agreements;
this growth initiative provided a low-risk entry into
new markets. In 1995, I.E. Miller purchased Fowler Trucking to
expand into
the North Louisiana and East Texas markets.
In 1996, the
assets of Heldt Brothers Trucking were acquired and I.E.
Miller gained
entry into the South Texas market.
In 2004, I.E. Miller’s
success story entered a new chapter as SCF Partners of Houston,
Texas, along with the Soileau family, recapitalized the company
and positioned it for additional growth.
In 2005, I.E. Miller broadened its footprint by establishing
a terminal in Rock Springs, Wyoming. This terminal allows
I.E. Miller to provide quality rig logistics services throughout
the Rocky Mountain region. |
